MJPAA ACTING WORKSHOP LEADS TO DISNEY FANTASYLAND COMMERCIAL

The Glow family has been part of the MJPAA community for over 3 years. Sisters Cassie (age 6) and Sabrina (age 4) are Ballet/Tap/Jazz students (with Ms. Mary Jo Scanio and her fabulous Faculty) and participants in On-Camera Training & Acting programs with Ms. Sheri Whittington).  This September, the Glow family attended a MJPAA acting workshop hosted by LA Talent Agent and friend of MJPAA, Cinda Snow. At the workshop, parents David and Susan Glow learned inside information about the entertainment business, and the girls learned helpful tips on acting and auditioning.

After building a relationship with Cinda Snow at the workshop, Cinda made the introduction between the Glow Sisters and an established modeling and acting talent agency recognized in the Southeast. From that introduction came an in-person meeting between the Glow family and the talent agency, resulting in the Glow family being selected to go out on their first assignment - an audition to be in a TV commercial promoting the new expansion of  Disney's Fantasy Land  at the Magic Kingdom in Orlando!

Through a series of auditions and callbacks, the entire Glow family was selected and cast as Principal Actors for the Disney World’s FantasyLand promotion. They went to Disney World in Orlando and got first-hand experience on being "behind the scenes". Hair, make-up, wardrobe... the works! Cassie and Sabrina were featured in the new area of FantasyLand themed around Princess Ariel of "The Little Mermaid". They interacted with Princess Ariel (both as a Human and as a Mermaid), did photo shoots, acted in different skits, and even got to go to "Ariel's Grotto" and ride the new "Under the Sea" ride! They did several "takes" and followed the commands of the Director like "action!" ,"reset!", and "cut!". Great experience! The day's events will be used for TV Commercials, Website promotion, and In-room hotel Infomercials starting in November.

The Glow family has expressed a huge thanks to MJPAA for their outstanding programs, classes, and workshops. Being part of the MJPAA community helped set off a positive chain reaction that will always be an incredible experience and memory for the entire Glow family.
Congratulations to the Glow Family!
